I landed back on US soil on Feb. 15th at 3:30pm. I think the best way to sum up my trip is a top ten list. So, here’s a list of the top ten differences I noticed between life in the US and life in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco:

10. Everywhere: Amazing public transportation

9. Morocco: Children begging on the streets

8. Spain: Ancient cathedrals across from McDonald’s and KFC

7. Everywhere: Warm welcomes and kiss-kiss greetings

6. Spain: Drinking in bars with children and babies

5. Morocco: Traffic that ignored dotted lines and red lights

4. Spain: Daily siestas for the tired and hungover

3. Portugal: Legal drinking in the streets

2. Spain: Street layouts resemble caffeinated spider’s web

1. Morocco: Porcelain hole toilets with water instead of paper
